The power of your computers increases dramatically once they are linked via networks. The simplest implementation allows two or more machines to share files, printers and other resources over cables for a robust secure system. All computers less than 3 years old should already have onboard network interface cards (NICs) - if not it is a simple cheap upgrade. By adding inexpensive network equipment (switches or access points, for instance), the number of connected computers can be increased at any time. For larger business networks, a server based system offers many advantages of centralised storage and backup. GML can plan and deploy such server based networks from the ground up around your requirements. There are other advantages to networking your machines - through the telephone network, using ADSL fast broadband, you can connect your local machines to the internet and from there link to remote offices or teleworkers for instance. No matter the physical distances, secure connections such as VPNs allow colleagues to see hear and manipulate the same data and files as if they were working in the next room. From here you can add in internet telephony and VoIP to unlock free voice and video calls.
